Yes — CollectorVault is free to download on iOS and Android. We have four tiers: • Guest (no account required): 3 scans per 24 hours. No collection or wishlist saving. • Free (signed-in account): 5 scans per 24 hours. Basic vault and wishlist access. • Pro: 50 scans per 24 hours, plus access to all price sources (PriceCharting, eBay, Yuyutei, TCGPlayer). Built for collectors who scan frequently — at trade shows, conventions, or managing large collections. • Premium: Unlimited scans, AI Pre-Grading, full market analytics, and portfolio insights. Designed for serious investors, slab collectors, and businesses.

CollectorVault covers English and Japanese Pokémon cards across all sets — from Base Set and vintage through to modern releases. Chinese card support is available for a growing selection of sets; we are actively expanding coverage. CollectorVault's AI is built to handle real-world conditions: multiple cards in a single frame, slabs, mixed layouts, and varying angles. It can scan a combination of raw cards and slabs simultaneously with high accuracy. Results are best in good lighting with a clear, focused image — heavily damaged cards or very low-resolution photos may reduce confidence. When the AI is uncertain, it will flag it so you can manually confirm.

Prices are pulled from PriceCharting, eBay, Yuyutei, and TCGPlayer — covering both Western and Asian markets. Each card shows pricing by print variant (Base, Shadowless, 1st Edition, error cards) and by grade tier (PSA 10, BGS 10, CGC 10 and below). Price source data is available on the Pro and Premium tiers.

Market prices are refreshed multiple times a day to reflect current trading activity. While we aim to keep data as current as possible, there may be short delays between real-world sales and what is reflected in the app. Always treat prices as a strong market reference rather than a guaranteed transaction value.

Pre-Grade is an AI vision tool available on the Premium tier that analyses your card across four dimensions: centering, corners, surface, and edges — the same criteria used by PSA, BGS, and CGC. It gives you a probability-weighted estimate to help you decide whether a card is worth submitting for professional grading. Important: Pre-Grade is a beta feature intended as a reference guide. It will improve over time as our models are trained on more data. Actual grades may differ based on grader discretion and factors the AI cannot fully assess. CollectorVault is not affiliated with or endorsed by PSA, BGS, or CGC.

Not currently — an internet connection is required for scanning, pricing, and syncing your vault. Offline-first support is something we are considering for a future update. We recommend using the app with a stable connection, especially at trade shows or conventions where you may be doing high-volume scanning.

Yes. Your vault is stored securely in our database and tied to your account. Switch phones, reinstall the app, or log in on a new device — your entire collection, wishlist, and history comes with you. As long as you are signed in, your data is always accessible.

We use Google Sign-In so you can log in securely without creating a separate password. Only your name, email address, and profile picture are used to identify your account and personalise your experience. We never share or sell this data. You can revoke access at any time via your Google Account settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
